During this difficult time, discounts and free services or items for military families can be a huge help. There are countless deals and discounts out there that help save money. Along with special offerings for the general public, there are also lots of deals for military members that you should definitely take advantage of.

From automotive savings to restaurant discounts, there are many companies that offer deals for military families and more. Read on to find deals and freebies such as discount codes, free deliveries, and more that can help lift a weight off your shoulders.

Retail Discounts

Carter’s

If you like online shopping for adorable clothes for your kids, Carter’s is a great option for you. They offer free shipping on orders over $50 to all APO and FPO shipping addresses. The same deal for military members applies to orders placed on OshKosh B’Gosh, Carter’s sister company.

Kohl’s

Kohl’s is one of the most popular department stores and a hit with families. Help save money by getting a Kohl’s 15% military family discount when you shop in-store on Mondays. All you need to do to receive this deal for military members is present a valid US military ID in selected Kohl’s branches nationwide. Keep in mind that not all Kohl’s participate, so you’ll need to check with your local store ahead of time.

Home Depot

Need home improvement supplies? Make your way to Home Depot and get all the items on your wish list while saving big bucks. Home Depot currently has tax-exempt purchases for military members. Select Home Depot stores will offer 10% off some regularly priced merchandise as well, but be sure to check with your local store. Bring a valid military ID and you’re good to go. 

Carhartt

Get your whole family new outfits for the upcoming season by purchasing from Carhartt. They are proud supporters of the military and offer 25% off apparel and accessories. All you need is a valid ID.me account.

Old Navy

It’s time to start shopping at the start of the week because that’s when Old Navy offers the best deals to help you save money. Every Monday, Old Navy gives you 10% off your total purchase with a valid military ID.

Pottery Barn

Pottery Barn is one of the leading retailers for home décor and they offer a deal for the military as well. Active and retired duty households get 15% off in-store purchases.

Casper Mattress

If you or your child’s mattress is worn out from years of use, make a visit to Casper Mattress. Sleep well knowing you scored a quality mattress with a 20% discount, 10-year warranty, and 100-day trial. This deal is offered to active, retired, and veteran military, as well as spouses and immediate family members.

Reebok has one of the highest military discounts that will blow your mind! Grab a pair of athletic shoes and some apparel and get 50% off with their Heroes Discount. They also have a 50% off Student Discount for the kids as well.

Cell Phone Discounts

AT&T

AT&T honors active military members and veterans with their exclusive deals and discounts. Right now, they’re offering three different plans for as little as $27 (for four lines). For active military, all you need is a “.mil” email address, and for veterans, a valid form of ID.

Samsung

For Samsung fans, the Military Discount Program offers as much as 30% off phones, electronics, and more when shopping on their website. Samsung provides discounts to active military personnel in all branches of the service, their families, and veterans.

T-Mobile

Most of us are on our phones for hours each day, so chances are, it might be time to upgrade to a new plan. T-Mobile is offering a deal exclusive to active-duty military, veterans, and their families, with 50% off their regular Magenta plan rates for family lines. You also have access to 5G in every plan.

Verizon

One of the biggest cell phone providers, Verizon, is currently offering up a deal for the military. Switch and get $900 per line when you buy their best phones. You can also mix and match plans starting at $30 per line per month with their Unlimited plan. There are a few guidelines you must meet to get this deal, so check with your local store to find out more.

Automotive Discounts

AAA

If you aren’t a AAA member already, you should definitely consider joining because the company offers a wide array of savings to its members. While roadside assistance and insurance are the biggest services AAA offers, there are discounts on entertainment, travel, and more. They also offer special military memberships, where their members are offered discounted monthly rates and a whole host of discounts and rewards.

If you’re specifically shopping for automotive supplies, being a AAA member will get you 10% off your purchases at Napa Auto Parts, as well as rewards points on auto parts and accessories. Just make sure you have your AAA card to show at checkout.

Chevrolet

Chevrolet is playing a part in offering deals for military families by discounting thousands of dollars on select model cars and trucks. Pick from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac models to help save money on your next purchase.

Goodyear Tire

Costco Wholesale

Just because you “buy in bulk” at Costco doesn’t mean you have to spend in bulk. As a military member, you can join Costco as a new member and receive a $30 Costco Shop Card. This deal for the military is available to all members of the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. Once you become a Costco member, you’ll enjoy countless rebates and have access to additional discounts as well.

BJ's Wholesale

Don’t have a Costco near you? BJ's Wholesale is a great alternative! They’re currently giving military family discounts of over 25% off memberships, plus a $10 coupon. Combine this with their everyday deals and you’re in for huge savings.

Home Chef

Being in the house more means cooking more meals at home, which can become quite the task if you’re running out of menu ideas. Who doesn’t love a tasty frosty with fries? Wendy’s has partnered with Veterans Advantage to provide its members special deals and discounts throughout the year at Wendy’s restaurants nationwide. Sign up for Wendy mail and that’s where you’ll receive your exclusive offers.

Applebee’s

With awesome happy hour deals and tasty meals for every family member, Applebee’s is a go-to restaurant for many. Next time you visit, get 10% off your meal if you are an active-duty military member or veteran. Visit on Veteran’s Day for a free meal. Make sure to check with your local restaurant to ensure they are a participating location.

Educational Discounts

Apple

Apple is one of the largest suppliers of technology in the world, and its products are extremely popular amongst students. Apple offers a 10% discount off Apple products and accessories for all veterans and active duty and is available for direct family members. 

To help save money, look into Apple Education Pricing when you go to purchase your next laptop or iPad. While savings vary for each product, Apple offers reduced pricing that’s definitely worth your time. These special deals are available to current and newly accepted college students and their parents, as well as faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels.

Keystone Online School

Keystone honors U.S. military families with their 15% reduction on tuition for all members (active duty military members) enrolled in their school. All you need is a military ID card to show that you’re eligible. To receive your military family discount, you must call (800) 255-4937.

Tutor.com

If your child needs a little extra help on their schoolwork, Tutor.com is a great resource to try. Students in military families are eligible for free access to the online tutoring program funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance.

Rosetta Stone

Want to learn a new language? Rosetta Stone is a program known for its success rate. Make sure you grab your 10% off military family discount while you still can. This deal for military members is good for active duty, veterans, National Guard, and reservists.
