Set in the heart of California’s agriculturally rich San Joaquin Valley and encompassing nearly 30,000 acres, Lemoore (NAS) and its namesake town of Lemoore offer a small town atmosphere with abundant services, amenities, and recreation opportunities nearby. The city of Hanford is 21 miles east and Fresno – the area’s largest city – is 38 miles north.

Liberty Military Housing offers 1,630 houses for rent within six communities on-base at Lemoore (NAS). We understand that your military life needs to be flexible, and our experienced team is here to help make the process of finding and renting your home as easy as possible. When you live in an LMH home, there are no out-of-pocket expenses and average utility costs are included in your monthly rent. We don’t run credit checks and there's no hidden fees. Small-Town Charm & Outdoor Adventures

Lemoore has a population of around 25,000, and its downtown offers many shops, services, schools, parks, and even a golf course, as well as a number of colorful farmer’s markets. In summer, the weather is hot and dry, with cloudless skies and temperatures that often reach 100 degrees. Generally, the winter months are mild with nighttime lows in the 30s.

The San Joaquin Valley is bordered on the west by coastal mountain ranges, and on the east, it joins the southern portion of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. A two to three-hour drive will take you to Yosemite, Kings Canyon, or Sequoia National Parks, which is where Lemoore (NAS) has its own military campground. Be sure to visit the Outdoor Adventure Center on-base, which rents everything from camping equipment to canoes.

Nearby Fresno offers many cultural and entertainment excursions, including the Chaffee Zoo, festivals, rodeos, and the largest harvest fair in the state. Many of California’s most beautiful beaches and mountains are less than a three-hour drive from Lemoore.
