At Liberty, our employee-owners have both a deep connection to the military lifestyle and extensive experience in the multifamily industry. One of our employee-owners, Jorge Parada, has built a career around serving our nation’s military. Jorge was recently recognized by two prestigious multifamily industry organizations for his service to Liberty residents: he was first named a Maintenance Legend by the National Apartment Association (NAA) and then awarded Gold in the Facilities & Maintenance Manager of the Year category for the Multi-Housing News (MHN) Excellence Awards.
After serving in the United States Army, Jorge chose to continue his legacy of service with Liberty and is well known for his technical acumen, professional diligence, and genuine care for residents. With 40 years of experience in maintenance positions, Jorge brings a wealth of knowledge to Liberty’s Bayview Hills community. He has built a strong reputation as a trusted and collaborative professional among both colleagues and residents.
Not only does Jorge deliver exceptional work; he also demonstrates an unparalleled commitment to residents and the community. He regularly takes steps beyond the duties required for his position, including making personal contact with residents before visiting their homes for service to inquire about any special needs for his visit, and leading introductory home walk-throughs with new residents to demonstrate the use of home features. Beyond the duties of his position, Jorge is quick to volunteer for resident events, offering many hours of his personal time to help create fun, memorable events for Liberty’s residents. Outside of Liberty, he also gives his time to the San Diego Beekeeping Society as a member of their board of directors, and the Emerald Hills Neighborhood Council, where he helps plan community cleanups and picnics.
Jorge works tirelessly to deliver on Liberty’s mission of providing exemplary service in a quality home environment and he is incredibly deserving of these recognitions by NAA and MHN. Congratulations Jorge!
