Liberty Leadership Shares Expert Insight and Earns Honors at NAA’s Annual Apartmentalize Conference

|

Liberty employee-owners recently returned from the National Apartment Association’s prestigious annual conference, Apartmentalize, where thousands of multifamily housing professionals gathered to exchange insights on innovative strategies to elevate communities. We’re always proud to participate in this event and represent our commitment to serving military families.

This year’s conference was held last week in Las Vegas, where Liberty leaders – Gail Miller, Chief Operating Officer; Jasmine “Jaz” Alarcon, National Senior Director of Operations; and Sam Merrick, Consultant – led a panel titled, “Unlocking Success: Mastering Government Partnerships for Rental Housing.”

Bringing together multifamily housing professionals eager to deepen their understanding of public-sector collaboration, the session was a resounding success. Led by our experienced team, the discussion offered practical insights into cultivating strong relationships with government entities—particularly in the context of military and civilian housing. Participants explored strategies for maintaining open communication, aligning on shared goals, and navigating the complexities of regulatory compliance. The session emphasized how these partnerships can streamline operations, support affordable housing initiatives, and enhance community resilience. With real-world examples and actionable takeaways, attendees left equipped to build more effective, trust-based collaborations that benefit both residents and housing providers.

In addition to participating in thought leadership sessions, we were proud to celebrate two of our own. Liberty’s Naval Air Station Fallon community was recognized as a finalist for Military Community of the Year during NAA’s 2025 Excellence Awards, an annual program that honors outstanding performers across the rental housing industry. The Fallon team was acknowledged for their dedication to fostering a high-quality living environment that prioritizes the unique needs of service members and their families.

Jorge Parada, one of Liberty’s Service Technicians, was also honored during the Excellence Awards as one of NAA’s Maintenance Legends for 2024. Jorge has been a cornerstone of the Bayview Hills community for more than 20 years, earning the respect of residents and colleagues for his expertise, professionalism, and unwavering commitment. He is consistently recognized among Liberty’s Top 15 National Tech Leaderboard, a testament to his technical skill, leadership, and the vital role he plays in creating a safe, well-maintained living environment for military families. We are so proud of Jorge!

At Liberty, we believe every mission begins at home, and that begins with our people. Attending Apartmentalize each year allows our leaders to share their expertise, learn from peers across the industry, and return with tools and inspiration that ultimately benefit the families we serve. From strengthening operations to elevating the resident experience, our continued involvement in this conference helps us deliver on our commitment to those who serve our country.
