Liberty Military Housing (Liberty), acknowledged for its quality homes and vibrant neighborhoods, announced today the opening of a new children’s playground in its Lyman Park community in Quantico, VA. Community residents joined Liberty leadership to cut the ribbon on this new amenity space on November 20, 2024.
Lyman Park’s new playground is designed to cater to multiple age groups and features various agility areas and updated landscaping and fencing. This updated amenity aims to provide a space for play and entertainment for the 650+ families who live within the community.
This playground represents the successful completion of the first phase of enhancements for the neighborhood. In the next phase, residents can look forward to a covered pavilion and an expansive toddler area. In addition, Liberty has designed a versatile gathering and play space that features Gaga ball court, conveniently situated near the community school bus stop.
Liberty's $17.6 million investments in Quantico communities reflect a steadfast commitment to supporting military families. The funding was made available through the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI) and has already resulted in significant upgrades to Liberty’s communities across Virginia, as well as Maryland and Washington D.C.
