Employee-Owner Spotlight: Ignacio (Nacho) Garcia

|

My name is Ignacio (Nacho) Garcia. I was born in Mexico and came to the States when I was 11 years old. After graduating, I started a job doing printing in Carlsbad. Unfortunately, I lost my job due to the economy after 25 years. So I started working for Lincoln/Liberty in 2009 as a painter in the Mountain District at Liberty Military Housing.

Eventually, I  earned the opportunity to become a Tech 1. Helping my Maintenance Supervisor oversee the work orders within the District, I am now a Maintenance Tech 3.

I have been at Mountain District for my whole career with Liberty, and this is my second home. I am happily married with three kids (two sons and one daughter) and five grandkids. When I am not at work, I do projects around the house. I love to eat sushi and go to Happy Hour!

To me, the mission statement means making sure we have every home ready and in working order for when the residents move in. If work orders are submitted, I provide the best service to make sure that the issue is resolved. I utilize EmpHour and the training provided to learn and grow.
