Maintenance Mania

Since the program's introduction, nearly 20,000 maintenance technicians have signed up to compete in Maintenance Mania® since the program’s.

Across the country, NAA chapters host local Maintenance Mania® events to recognize the top maintenance technicians in the industry. Winners from each chapter get a chance to compete at the National Championship during the annual NAA conference. These highly skilled maintenance technicians compete in fast-paced races of skills and timing.

Joel Martinez, a Liberty Military Housing Maintenance Supervisor in the San Diego area, competed and placed in multiple events during the Maintenance Mania Finals. Joel brought home six first-place Regional awards and two third-place National awards this year. At the National Championship, Martinez placed third in the Pfister® drain installation and Kwikset® key control deadbolt challenges. Out of 20 competitors, Joel finished fourth overall with an impressive time of one minute and 8-seconds.

Joel is no stranger to competing for the National title.  Joel has earned his spot to compete for the past ten years.  Since 2013, Joel has earned 59 Regional and 10 National Maintenance Mania titles.
